web 2.0

i think this video touched on a subject that a lot of ppl think about, but don't necessarily like talkin about. i feel as though technology using us is a lil bit far fetched at this point, but it is definitely somethin that i can see happenin. there r already instances where the machine saves our preferences and does things based on those preferences. with technology being able to "learn" like that, it's not too hard to c that in the future, technology can certainly use those preferences against us, in a way.

the effects on those entering the workforce by web 2.0 can actually be a little dangerous. companies nowadays rely on the web to gather information about potential employees. because information can be notoriously difficult to erase off of the internet, this a very big obstacle that upcoming interns and employees must overcome.

it also affects those in the workforce because it forces them to be careful about what they post on the internet, write in emails, etc. just because you already have a job is no guarantee that you're gonna keep that job.
